We kept the Marcol Factory publications for a while and did not communicate with them, and when the company we agreed with could not supply the coils or coils on time, we submitted a quotation request from the Marcol Factory to see how they would compete. I am the account manager at CarrierWhich operates in the Kingdom through the Arabian Air Conditioning Company and the Saudi Carrier Services Company - in partnership with Ibrahim Al-Juffali and Brothers Company - an integral part of "UTC" for air conditioning, control and security systems, one of the units of United Technologies. (NYSE: UTX). Major OEM, and we ran into a major problem with a project to replace the cooling coils. When we initially obtained approval to approve the offer on the project, we were asked for a lead time of only 4-5 weeks, and the time was very short due to the large number of requests and our task congestion. Our production chief told me that the time limit had been extended to 11-12 weeks. This project was for one of our best clients, and this new timeframe was an opportunity to find a Plan B. In February of 2021, I was in a big bind as the entire city of Jeddah seemed to freeze at once. The mechanical contractor, maintenance manager, and representatives of the air conditioning manufacturer have been pressured to take immediate action due to this very serious emergency. I was assigned to purchase (5) Heat Exchangers for Chilled Water that exploded at a local hospital. We don't do much replacement business, so after calling the OEM and finding out they couldn't help in time, I was confused. A friend of mine at work suggested that I deal with alternative manufacturers of custom coils or heat exchangers, and the first (2) companies I contacted did not have a fast shipping method, standard lead time of 13-14 weeks. I had a request to replace (75) Trane hot water booster coils, but Trane was not able to deliver our request on time from the customer. Our sales representative in the office read several Jamjoom Cooling Systems Factory posts on LinkedIn and suggested I give them a try.
